Part 2-My fiance is also a bit 'untraditional'. Which is fine, I want him to like his band, he has to wear it, so it's absolutely his choice, and I'm not going to tell him no. I know they won't be worn 'together' but wanted to get opinions on his, since it looks very different from mine.

Well for a woman that ring you showed really is the traditional band. Most women pick a ring with some diamonds. The one you picked is (very similar to mine) better than an Eternity Band because it is easier to size. Chances are great you will need it resized at some point in your life.
Titanium is a great choice--very light weight. Also these 2 rings will only be next to each other during the photo shoot on the Wedding Day. There is no reason why they have to match at all. In fact, the two of you aren't the exact same in personalities so it only makes sense that the rings you prefer aren't exactly alike. You will be wearing this ring for the rest of your life so it is very important that you both get one you have your heart set on. He needs to love it if you want him to wear it.
However I think those two go very well together. They both have the same platinum/white gold. They both have a "striped" effect--yours with diamonds and his with the black titanium. I think they match very well.
