Wedding Themes

Be sure not to over-do your theme for your wedding.  A little goes a long way and you will want to keep it classy and elegant.  Themed weddings can be beautiful and guests will remember them the most.  You might want to put on your Wedding Invitations that you are having a themed wedding and what it is.  Some guests might like to participate if they can.  If you have a hawaiian themed wedding the guests might like to come in their tropical dresses and shirts.  At Christmas time guests might like to have their attire consist of red or green.  A black-tie event is always nice and it assures that everyone looks their best at your wedding.

Christmas~
red and white for color scheme
red poinsettias for boutonnieres and red and white poinsettias for bouquets
mini candy canes or striped peppermint candies in glass bowls will make for excellent center-pieces

Winter~
emerald green and cream for color scheme
white poinsettias for bouquets and boutonnieres
mini Christmas trees lit w/ miniature white lights as centerpieces

Valentines~
red for the color scheme
red Heart Shaped candles adorning tables

Hawaiian~
bridesmaid dresses in assorted tropical colors
flowers adorning hair
baskets of Hawaiian leis adorning tables for guests to wear

Sea shore~
sea-foam green for the color scheme
drill holes into sea-shells and wire with thin wire to dangle into floral arrangements
metal pails for centerpieces filled w/ shells and candle

Black tie~
announce on the invitations that this is a black tie affair
purchase black and red ribbon to tie into bows on the backs of chairs
make white garters w/ a little black ribbon for favors to adorn the tables
use candelabras as centerpieces
