how do you get noticed as a singer?

there are alot of people that tell me i have a wonderful voice and that it acts on my mood some of my friends notice that when im happy i have a brilliant ringing angel voice or so im told
my whole family is into music as of 5 generations ago but they really have nothing more to tell me

right.. get off yahoo, ask google, it has answers!
Also.. if you want to be noticed, without having any connections to people in the industry, you're gonna need to work your butt off.. and i mean every day, yeah you can do youtube videos, but the best way is to get out there and actually perform! If you are under 16 dont worry, as alot of pubs hold under 16 nights.. and make sure you enter EVERY competition you can! Its the only way to get your name known i'm afraid.
It can help if you play an instrument too, as this enables you to perform with some sort of backing music, especially if you are using original songs, which does help 'cos no one will care if you just sing covers. Bare in mind knowing an instrument isn't neccessary if you can form a band..
NEVER just sit there and wait for it to happen, 'cos it wont. But i assure you if you are good enough and get out there and perform regularly, you will get noticed eventually.. and when you do, take every offer you get
