Use A Gallery Pouch To Protect Fine Artwork
If you are a fine art photographer, a painter, someone who sells framed prints or other types of framed artwork, a sculptor or other type of artist, and you want to sell your artwork to the public, you will need to find a way to protect your pieces from becoming damaged by handling. This is the stage when many artists turn to a gallery pouch or bubble pouches for help. Bubble pouches use air as a cushion between the surfaces of your artwork, protecting it from environmental hazards such as moisture or oils from your hands, as well as compression damage.
When you sell your artwork, in many instances you will need to mail it to the new owner. This means that you have to find a way to ship your artwork so that it arrives in mint condition, and this is when bubble pouches are handy. This type of art protector comes with your choice of opening on the side or top, making it easier to insert the artwork into the pouch. The air bubbles between two sheets of heavy plastic making up the gallery pouch help ensure that the artwork arrives in excellent condition, even if the package is handled somewhat roughly.
An additional step you can take to protect your framed artwork is to use picture frame protectors. Picture frame protectors are made out of cardboard, and are designed to fit securely around each corner of your picture frame, to prevent damage to those areas of the artwork that stick out the most. If you combine the picture frame protectors with a gallery pouch, your artwork should be well protected during shipping or for storage.
The bubble bags are also excellent for use in gallery storage. If you own a gallery, you are constantly rotating and switching out your artwork, so you are also always in need of a safe way to store your important pieces. Bubble bags are a quick and easy to use art protector. You will also find that the bubble bags come with or without a hook and loop fastener. This type of plastic bag art protector also works well for glass artwork such as stained glass pieces, or to protect delicate lenses for your camera. With such a variety of uses, you are sure to find these bags handy for all sorts of purposes around your gallery or showroom.
